Jonathan’s high impact approach to technical and vocational education and training (TVET) has been demonstrated through skills programmes in 70+ countries across the Americas and the Caribbean, Europe and Wider Europe, Middle East and North Africa, China, Asia and South Asia.
Jonathan has achieved a post-graduate in Management and also Learning and Development Provision. He achieved educational excellence through the vocational technical training and assessment route. Jonathan is a Freeman of the City of London, a Liveryman of the Worshipful Company of Furniture Makers, a member of the Institute of Directors and of the Chartered Management Institute.

Afshan has an experienced insight on developing and delivering outstanding education and training which is effective, has deep reaching impact and supports individuals into education and employment.
Currently Afshan is supporting a number of organisations, with specialist technical assistance. Afshan is also a trained coach and has supported managers in the UK VET sector to overcome challenging situations and has led successful skills development and capacity building projects across Africa, ASEAN, EU, Central Asia and MENA regions.

Claire is currently the Managing Director of Proskills Global Limited which delivers an outstanding range of professional recognition such as training and competence certification, licensing services and quality assurance of training providers – both in the UK and overseas.
Claire’s business expertise has been developed in the workplace over 31 years undertaking various roles in finance, IT procurement and training departments, within a variety of industries.

Simon’s expertise includes developing competencies and qualifications on behalf of Employer Organisations, and working with UK and Australian Sector Skills Councils. His project experience is global and includes Australia, NZ, EMEA, The Americas, and India.
Simon’s specialist experience includes developing competency frameworks for compliance, performance and process improvement. Associated skills include Quality Assurance and Auditing to National Regulatory Standards.
His projects have been award winning and recognised best practice both in the UK and Australia. Simon is both a Chartered Geologist and HR Professional, and Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts.

Pooja’s expertise is in structuring public- private sector engagement for all forms of TVET , especially formal apprenticeships and work-based learning programmes. As a Humboldtian and Chancellor’s Fellow she is conducting a research on the governance frameworks, funding arrangements, cost – benefits of employer led models at BiBB, Germany. She is a regular contributor to projects requiring exposure to practical ground realities while having a to the policy objectives.

Najib has contributed to employability programs in Morocco and MENA (Middle East and North Africa) region. His main areas of expertise include career development and employability programs for young people, skills policies and leadership training.
Najib is member of the Ethics and Good Governance Commission at the Moroccan General Enterprise Confederation (CGEM) and has been twice awarded the Faculty Advisor of the Year (2010-2014) by international NGO Enactus.
Najib speaks fluentl Arabic (MT), English, and French and is currently a senior manager at the ESITH engineering college in Morocco.

His work in partnership with donors and international partners has proven to have increased the employability skills amongst young people and enabled their transition from school to real jobs.
Walid has led and developed PETRA – the Print and Media Enterprise Training Partnership (ETP) since 2008 as the Executive Director. He has developed human capital and capacity building for many governmental authorities in different ministries such as Ministry of Education, Ministry of Manpower and Emigration, Ministry of Industry and the Ministry of Higher Education. Walid is fluent in both Arabic and English.

John has extensive experience in leading and supporting national TVET reform programmes. These have included initiatives supporting shared approaches to; leadership, Sector Skills Councils, capacity building of Colleges and apprenticeships. He has led numerous projects including in the areas of entrepreneurship, employability, curriculum development and qualification design.
John has played advisory and policy roles in supporting UK and overseas Government international initiatives, including; UK India Education Research Initiative, UK China Partners in Education and the UK Education sector’s international strategy. He has extensive experience of the delivering international projects and programmes delivered in partnership with stakeholders including; DfID, FCO, EBRD, DIT, EU Commission and the British Council. John has achieved post graduate qualifications in International Development, Management and Teaching.

She is an experienced Responsible Officer and Quality and Operations Senior Manager with five years’ experience working with regulated awarding organisations. Lisa has a proven track record of success in ensuring continuous compliance with regulatory requirements, managing governance and ensuring quality. Her key achievements include setting up an awarding organisation and end-point assessment organisation including accreditation from Ofqual and ESFA, developing and setting up all relevant systems and procedures including Governing Board.
Lisa is highly experienced education development manager with over 20 years’ experience in developing and delivering apprenticeship standards, vocational qualifications and national occupational standards projects successfully.

As Skills Manager for British Council Pakistan, Salman developed and delivered dynamic education consultancy services across Asia (Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Nepal, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan and Pakistan) in partnership with a mix of aid donors, NGOs and other international stakeholders including British High Commison, FCO, ILO, AKRSP, USAID, EU, Pakistan Peace Collective, M&C Saatchi.

Janet has excellent organisational, business and ICT skills and vast experience of working with colleges, universities and private training providers throughout the UK.
Janet has recently contract managed an intense project with the Government of Panama associated with the development of a technical education institute. Janet demonstrates excellent experience with training centre recognition and approval processes and procedures.

David’s career has included several roles with a major international bank and was until recently Chairman and Director of a limited company representing speciality food and drink producers.
David has led, successfully designed and delivered bespoke leadership and management programmes for employers – both in the UK and internationally. David was co-winner of the British Council’s International Partnership of the Year in 2012.
